Dallas R1CU Branches: Vogel Alcove Donation Drive | May 1–May 30

Resource One Credit Union’s Dallas-area branches in Mesquite, Cedar Hill, Irving, North Garland, South Garland, and Southside are joining together for a Vogel Alcove snack donation drive from May 1–May 30, 2026. This effort helps provide essential nutrition for children experiencing homelessness by supporting snack bags that bridge the gap between meals when children are away from Vogel Alcove. Members are invited to donate approved snack items at any participating branch; please note that monetary donations will not be accepted.

  • Underwear sizer 2T -3T
  • Bottoms sizes 2T – 4T
  • Spring/Summer clothing size 2T-6T.
  • Socks 0-6Y
  • Pants (2T_5T)
  • New toys.

Toddler Girls:

  • Underwear sizer 2T -3T

  • Shoes, size 5,6,7,8, 9,10,11 and 12

Women’s History Month – Community Engagement

Ruben, Commercial Lending Officer & Business Development Officer, made a meaningful impact during Women’s History Month by participating in the Women’s Expo (Expo de la Mujer) hosted by Dallas County at Dallas College Irving Center. He engaged with attendees on topics including health, education, and financial empowerment, reinforcing our commitment to supporting and uplifting the communities we serve.

Shred Day Event – SouthSide

The March 28 Shred Event at Southside was a great example of teamwork in action, with staff and executive leadership coming together to serve members through secure document shredding, along with food and refreshments. The event helped create meaningful member connections while highlighting our collaborative spirit. 2025 Volunteer Impact & Recognition

At a celebratory luncheon, our Executive and Community Engagement teams honored the Top 5 Volunteers of 2025, recognizing their exceptional contributions and dedication to service. Ventura, one of our contact center agents, was named the inaugural recipient of the Clarence Nash Pillar of Purpose Award, contributing an outstanding 194.5 volunteer hours. Collectively, these honorees delivered 504 of R1’s 2,219 total volunteer hours, surpassing our corporate goal and underscoring the powerful impact of our people. We extend our appreciation to Ventura and all R1 employees who embody our commitment to serving communities. WE R1.

At Sam Houston Middle School’s College & Career Fair, Tiffany, Branch Manager in Irving, and Miguel, Branch Operations Manager, connected with students, families, and educators to highlight career pathways in the credit union industry and promote financial empowerment.
